Summary of Galileo

Galileo Galilei's Letter to the grand Duchess Christina, ultimately argues for the illogic of his heretical status

Galileo Galilei's letter accomplishes several purposes.  First, it reminds the Church of the proper place of science in biblical truch.  Second, it argues persuasively that the Church acted improperly to declare him a heretic.  Third, it reminds the reader that the respected Church Fathers supported the work of scientists and the moral work of the Bible.
